Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 May 2026

This privacy policy explains how Digital Empower (KVK 42020519, VAT NL190291084B01) handles personal data processed through this website. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

We only collect data you provide to us yourself, or data that is strictly necessary to run the website:

  • Contact form: first name, last name, email address, (optional) company name, and the content of your message.
  • Functional cookie: a language preference (see our cookie policy).
  • Technical log data from our hosting provider (such as IP address and browser type), retained briefly for security and troubleshooting.

How we use your data

We use contact form data solely to respond to your question or message and to maintain any follow-up contact with you. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal basis for processing

Processing of contact data is based on your consent and on our legitimate interest in being able to respond to messages. The functional cookie is necessary for the website to work.

Who we share data with

Contact form messages are stored in our own CRM system (Nexus), operated by Digital Empower. For hosting we use Vercel Inc. We enter into data processing agreements with processors that handle personal data on our behalf. We never sell your data to third parties.

Retention

We do not keep contact data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Messages that do not lead to a working relationship are deleted no later than 12 months after the last contact.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

  • The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • The right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”).
  • The right to restriction of processing.
  • The right to object to processing.
  • The right to data portability.

To exercise any of your rights, or if you have a question about this policy, contact us at privacy@digitalempower.nl. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
